In our evening drive, having heard of a tiger sighting in morning by our guide, we returned to the initial place where the tiger was sighted in morning after spending almost half of our safari time with no tiger luck. A gypsy we found waiting, then told us about a leopard sighting by the canter few minutes ago, which was not very far and visible from out present spot. Suddenly we realized the canter started reversing hurriedly, in possiblity of presence of a predator because of sudden alarm calls, I asked my driver as well to rush to the spot in expectation of sighting one.
Where all the eyes were towards the pond, longing for a tiger sight, our guide who was probing the other side exuberantly said, "sir wo dekhiye tiger!!" (Sir, look. Tiger)
We were awed by the surprise entry of this male tiger. Then the real show time began, where all the gypsy's stopped in their very spot to get a glimpse of tiger, our guide asked us to wait and hold our breath. He very confidently said, "sir tiger aapki gypsy ke samne se hi jayega" (sir, tiger will walk right in front of your gypsy only) having said this we waited for tiger to come out of labyrinths. After waiting for 10 mins, the words of our guide seemed true and to our surprise, tiger crossed the road just few feet away from our gypsy and headed towards the pond to quench his thrist.
