I guess it’s still OK to post Christmas-related pictures, right? Well, I am just thrilled to find out that I can get this organically made Mavrodaphne- beauty from @lescavesdepyrene ‘s website! We imbibed this rich, velvety red on Christmas Day and paired it wild boar sausage and oven-baked potatoes and it went down a dream!
Mavrodaphne has been widely known for the sweet fortified wines of Patras but Evriviadis explores its dynamic fruity and floral potential in a unique way on the island of Cephalonia. The sweetness of the fruit blended with the dried petal-notes, kisses of licorice, exotic sweet spices and leather touches make the mouthfeel of this unfiltered wine even more attractive! A truly memorable Mavrodaphne that I can now enjoy in London, too!
