Ashwagandha is an Indian herb used in Ayurvedic medicine. Last year I discovered the brand 'Sun Potion' at the Alchemist Kitchen in NYC. I bought their ashwagandha powder after learning some of its benefits. I really felt the positive affects of increased energy and a big boost in my mood. I ran out and like most cases living in the city, I got caught up and never bought more. I've been following Kelly LeVeque's nutritional tips lately and love the idea of her Fab Four smoothies to combat cravings and balance our hunger hormones. Ashwagandha is a frequent ingredient in her smoothie so I'm excited to get this amazing herb back in my life. 
Benefits:
-contains various antioxidants -increases energy levels while reducing fatigue
-has growth enhancing anabolic properties and can assist in healthy muscle growth.
-restores deficiencies in the body's systems like the brain and nervous system. In turn, reduces anxiety, nervousness, and depression.
-helps treat joint inflammation which helps joint pain and immobility. Great reason to take as a preventative factor when lifting. 
Dosage: 
As you can see you can get ashwagandha in powder form. Theayurvedaexoerience.com recommends high dosage would be 15-30g for chronic sever cases of insomnia, anxiety, depression, etc. A high dosage is taken only for a short period of time and should be supervised by a professional. A moderate dosage for long term use is 2-5g.

How to use: 
You can blend the powder in your coffee, tea, or smoothie. It's recommended to take best in the morning on an empty stomach. 
Where to buy:
Any health food store or natural market. I bought a small bag of ashwagandha for a little less than $3 at integral yoga. They also sell a 111g jar of sun potion ashwagandha for $37 at alchemist kitchen.

Here is an awesome reference for those of you who are new to the group, or those who have just never realized that some of the dōTERRA rollers that are not the touch line can still be diluted.
