"Charlie was a great guy, if a little odd. The community has been at a loss since his disappearance. They say the only thing he took with him was an old, dog-eared copy of Count Dracula. I was going to borrow it after him, but I guess I'll have to go to the library now.' Vincent, on the sudden vanishing of his tree-mate, Charlie (pictured above)
One of my favorite moments I've been fortunate to capture behind the lens. A totally lucky shot after a dental visit. Been a pleasure to have it featured in the 2017 Golden Gate Audubon Calendar and the 2018 Save the Bay Calendar. Sometimes the most ordinary of birds can provide the most extraordinary of moments :)
Blue and Yellow Macaw.
There are over 370 different types of parrots on Earth, and macaws are the largest. Macaws normally weigh between 2 and 4 pounds, which is fairly hefty for a bird. The largest of the macaws, the Hyacinth Macaw, can reach lengths of nearly 3 and a half feet long from the beak to the tip of the tail. In addition, they boast an impressive wingspan of up to 60 inches.
