DB Romanian Deadlifts
Try this one as a finisher on your next hammy day
Take note of the angle of the dumbbells, standing up strait at the beginning I like to take a deep breath and set my scapular/core to stay as tight as possible.
I like to use this exercise as a finisher so it’s even more important to be as tight as possible as hamstrings are fatigued.
Each persons individual mobility will determine how deep of a stretch is needed.
Using constant tension I like to burn out with 20-30 reps to finish, only standing up to 3/4 range will ensure hamstrings stay on throughout the movement. Track dumbbells down shins staying close and sitting back into the movement will given the greatest stretch.
Tip: By just turning toes out slightly this will allow your hips to open on the eccentric and may help you in getting just that little bit deeper.
